Open discussion about air quality in Yerevan. Why do we breathe what we breathe? What can be done about it? And is anything being done at all?
Informal communication, meeting people working on the issue, and an opportunity to find like-minded individuals.
Results
- Medical experts confirmed health harm: PM2.5 causes lung cancer (WHO, 2013).
- Civil initiatives were presented.
- Mayor's plan: a four-year air improvement plan through tightening requirements for auto repair shops, construction sites, and increasing fines.
- Exchange of contacts between representatives of the mayor's office, medical professionals, and civil activists for further cooperation.
