General Information

The bust of Misak Manushyan, along with its pedestal, is planned to be installed in the park named after him, the groundbreaking ceremony of which will take place in 2025. Applicants are required to prepare a model of the statue, photograph the model from three positions, and, by sending the necessary application form to the appropriate email address, submit the package to the competition. The applications will be submitted anonymously to the competition commission, after which the models will be exhibited and evaluated. The author of the winning application will be provided with a monetary award, and the monument will be realized based on the model, while the applicants who took second and third places will be provided with an incentive prize (in case the competition is not canceled). Each applicant can submit 1 model option.

Competition conditions:
● The model should best represent Misak Manushyan, emphasizing his image,
● The model with its pedestal should harmonize with the installation site. To ensure the necessary visibility, the distance between the monument and the viewer, the choice of the statue's frontal position, the height of the pedestal, and the width and height of the statue should be taken into account,
● The bust, pedestal, and material of the sculpture should be in harmony with the general environment and its aesthetics.

Materials to be submitted to the competition commission (first stage)
● Completed ,
● At least three-position photographs of the model.

For exhibition (second stage)
● Model made of plaster or plasticine, including the pedestal and the tablet

Schedule

First stage – according to the competition conditions, the completed application form and photographs of the model must be sent to the email address
Deadline: 28.02.25 inclusive

Second stage – applicants who have passed the first stage (will be notified in advance) must submit the monument model(s) for evaluation by the commission. The exhibition will take place at Yerevan City Hall

Prize

The applicant of the best submitted model will be awarded one and a half million drams, and the participants who took second and third places will be awarded one million and five hundred thousand drams, respectively (in case the competition is not canceled).
