Notification of wind intensification
Message to citizens regarding the expected wind intensification in Yerevan on April 9-10. Advice is given on how to behave on the street, at home, and while driving in strong winds. It is recommended to follow the announcements of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and, if necessary, call "112".

Dear citizens, according to the report of the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment, wind intensification with a speed of 14-18 m/s is expected in Yerevan on April 9-10.
IF YOU ARE ON THE STREET:
- stay away from structural elements. do not stand under advertising billboards, signs, road signs, under open stops,
- stay away from trees, branches can break even at a wind speed of 15 m/s,
- stay away from all types of wires. if you see a broken wire, do not approach it,
- if the wind significantly intensifies, do not stay outside, take shelter in nearby buildings (shop, entrance, underpass). Do not hide in the corners of buildings, as strong gusts of wind occur there.
IF YOU ARE AT HOME:
- close windows, vents and balcony doors,
- clear the balcony. take inside or secure items that the wind can blow away (flower pots, furniture, etc.),
- be prepared for power outages. have a flashlight and a charged phone, in case of power outage it is recommended not to use candles.
FOR DRIVERS:
- do not park the car under trees, pillars, advertising billboards, near unfinished buildings,
- when driving, reduce speed, increase the distance from other cars as much as possible. strong side wind can "deviate" the car from its course, especially in open areas.
