Yerevan City Hall announces that on November 14, 2015, from 20:00, a candlelight vigil will take place in France Square of the capital in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris. Citizens are invited to pay tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of France.
On October 4, Yerevan City Hall, in cooperation with the "Return to Armenia" Foundation, "Orange Fitness", "Converse Bank" and Austrian Airlines, will hold the "Yerevan Half Marathon" running competition. The event aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, contribute to the development of sports tourism and make Yerevan attractive for Diaspora Armenian athletes. The competition will start at 09:00 from Republic Square and will continue until 13:30, covering a running distance of 21.1 km. To participate, it is necessary to register in advance on the www.armeniamarathon.org website.

The delegation led by Taron Margaryan, Mayor of Yerevan, has departed for the northern capital of the Russian Federation to participate in the festive events dedicated to the founding day of Saint Petersburg. On April 20, at 16:00, the opening of the "Cultural Genocide - the Mystery of Khachkars" open-air exhibition will take place in the park in the middle of Nalbandyan-Hanrapetutyan streets of Yerevan's Main Avenue. The exhibition will present replicas of 12 lost, destroyed khachkars, which were reproduced by modern khachkar master Artak Hambardzumyan. Several fragments of the former and present views of Armenian monasteries and fortresses will also be presented with eloquent photographs.

On April 23 and 24, 2015, a number of events dedicated to the Armenian Genocide will take place in Yerevan and Holy Etchmiadzin. Free buses will be organized to participate in the events, traffic will be restricted on some streets, and security measures will be carried out. In particular, on April 23, a canonization ceremony and a concert by the rock band "SOAD" will take place, and on April 24, ceremonial events at the memorial complex, a concert by the World 24/04 Orchestra, and a torchlight procession to Tsitsernakaberd.
