Operation of public transport in the capital on New Year's holidays

From December 31, 2010, to January 1, 2011, the Yerevan Metro and intra-city passenger transport will operate until 01:00. From January 1 to 9, transport will operate until 24:00. From January 10, transport will return to its normal schedule.

New Year's festive events schedule

Yerevan City Hall will hold festive concert programs in Republic Square from December 31 to January 6. On December 31, concerts will be held with the participation of children's ensembles, dance groups, fairy tale heroes, and in the evening, performances by pop singers, ending with magnificent fireworks. From January 1-6, daytime events will be held with the participation of fairy tale heroes, and in the evening, discos organized by DJs. Festive events have started in Azatutyan Square on December 6 and will continue until January 6. Festive figure skating and hockey programs will be held at Swan Lake.

The draft budget of the city of Yerevan for 2011 has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the RA laws "On the Budgetary System of the Republic of Armenia" and "On Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan", the formation of which is based on economy, balance, efficiency, reliability and clarity. The Mayor is permitted to define the breakdown of grants and subsidies by recipient organizations.

From November 4, traffic on Tsitsernakaberd Highway is fully open. The road was being reconstructed under the programs of Yerevan City Hall. The works of the first phase of reconstruction have been completed, two-way two-lane traffic is provided.

A competition is announced to fill vacant positions in the leading groups of community service positions. The competition will take place on June 25, 2010, at 10:00 AM, in the Yerevan City Hall building. Applicants must submit the necessary documents by June 7, 2010.

Yerevan City Hall congratulates all graduates of the capital on the last bell and invites everyone to Republic Square to participate in the festive concert, which will take place on May 21, at 16:00. The concert will continue until late in the evening, including performances by Armenian pop singers, dance ensembles, surprises for graduates, 300 minutes of continuous music, and will end with fireworks.

Yerevan City Hall will hold the "Victorious Sounds" festival on May 9, from 15:00 to 18:00. The event is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. The festival will take place in five sections of the capital: Northern Avenue, the "Cascade" complex, Aznavour Square, the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Buzand Street, as well as the area adjacent to the House of Chamber Music.
