Based on Protocol N1 of May 14, 2013, of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia, "On the Election of Members of the Yerevan Council of Elders", in accordance with Article 16, Part 1, of the RA Law "On Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan" and Clause 102 of the Regulations of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, on June 8, 2013, at 11:00 AM, the first session of the first convocation of the newly elected Council of Elders of Yerevan will take place in the residence of the Yerevan Council of Elders, in the Yerevan City Hall building (Argishti 1), in the hall on the 5th floor, with the following agenda: 1. Formation of a temporary counting commission. 2. Organizational issues related to the oath ceremony of the Mayor of Yerevan. 3. Formation of permanent commissions of the Yerevan Council of Elders. 4. Nomination of chairmen and their deputies of permanent commissions. 5. Setting the date for the regular session of the Yerevan Council of Elders.
Yerevan City Hall announces a republican open architectural competition for the conceptual design of the reconstruction of Republic Square in Yerevan. The purpose of the competition is to select the best design proposals that will contribute to the modernization of the square and its adaptation to modern urban development processes. Individual architects, creative groups, and workshops operating in Armenia can participate in the competition. The start of the competition works is May 29, 2013, and the end is August 29. The best three works will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, respectively, with 1 million drams. Three more works will be awarded incentive prizes, each with 500 thousand drams.

On May 1, Yerevan Zoo opens its next season: admission for children is free. Visitors can expect theatrical and musical events, an outdoor informational display with the opportunity to participate in animal feeding and ask questions to specialists, as well as competitions and quizzes for children. On May 1, "Haghtanak" Park will also open its season: children under 10 years old will use carousels and attractions for free from 10:00 to 13:00. In the evening, there will be a concert program with the participation of Armenian pop representatives, and the day will conclude with fireworks. Due to the construction of the Leningradian Street - Isakov Avenue road junction in the capital, traffic will be temporarily suspended from Leningradian Street to Tsitsernakaberd Highway and Kievyan Street starting from February 17. As an alternative, the direction of Leningradian, Shinhararneri, Arzumanyan, Halabyan streets, then to Kievyan Street or Tsitsernakaberd Highway is suggested. To avoid additional congestion, traffic from Shinhararneri Street to Halabyan Street will be organized as one-way on Arzumanyan Street. Microbus routes No. 18 and 46, as well as bus route No. 28, will temporarily pass through Halabyan, Estonian, and then Shinhararneri streets in this section. We ask for the forgiveness of our fellow citizens for the temporary inconveniences caused.
