On tenders for the selection of organizations carrying out regular passenger transportation by public automobile transport in the city of Yerevan

Yerevan City Hall announces a tender for the selection of organizations carrying out regular passenger transportation by public automobile transport in the city of Yerevan. The tenders will take place from September 6 to September 27, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at 16 Leningradyan. The acceptance of applications stops 5 working days before the day of the tender. The tenders are held in accordance with Decision N 762 of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of August 16, 2001.

Announcement: On temporary suspension of passenger service on routes

On July 12, in the first half of the day, passenger service will be suspended on microbus routes No. 48, 68, 85 and 115, as well as on bus route No. 28, due to a tender.

In accordance with the RA law, individuals paying land tax and property tax are exempt from unpaid taxes, penalties, and fines for the periods preceding January 1, 2008, for property belonging to them. In addition, if property tax and land tax amounts for 2008-2010 are paid by December 31, 2012, individuals will also be exempt from paying penalties calculated for 2008-2010. Citizens are urged to take advantage of the privileges established by law.

On July 7 and 8, from 08:00 to 20:00, Shiraz Street in the Ajapnyak administrative district of Yerevan will be closed due to reconstruction and asphalting works. It is proposed to use Mazmanyan-Bashinjaghyan-Janibekyan streets as an alternative route.

The competition, which was supposed to take place on July 6, has been moved to July 10 due to the holidays. Due to the competition to be held on July 10, the operation of microbus routes No. 9, 14 and 38 will be temporarily suspended.

From June 29, 7:00 AM, until July 1, 6:00 PM, traffic will be suspended on Myasnikyan Avenue, from the overpass of Acharyan Street down to Heratsi Street, for asphalting works. Drivers are advised to use David Bek Street or Azatutyan Avenue as an alternative route.

On June 28, in the first half of the day, Yerevan City Hall will temporarily suspend passenger service on microbus routes No. 64, 11, 92, 97 and bus route No. 43 due to a tender. The City Hall apologizes to the public for the inconvenience caused.

Yerevan City Hall informs that due to the construction works of the overpass on Leningradian Street, traffic has been temporarily restricted from June 25 on the 4 lanes of Leningradian Street from Halabyan Street to Tsitsernakaberd Highway. Traffic will be organized by a bypass route, temporary road signs and traffic light regulations have been installed.

On June 21, in the first half of the day, passenger service on Yerevan microbus routes No. 39 and 70 will be suspended due to a tender. The City Hall apologizes for the inconvenience caused to the population.

According to point 26 of the regulations of the Council of Elders of the City of Yerevan, on June 26, 2012, at 11:00, the 5th meeting of the 7th session of the Council of Elders of the City of Yerevan will be convened.

From 08:00 on June 15 until 20:00 on June 17, the section of Myasnikyan Avenue descending to Heratsi Street will be closed due to asphalt work. Drivers are offered alternative routes.

In accordance with the decision of the Mayor of Yerevan, a schedule for citizens' reception has been established by the heads of structural subdivisions of the Yerevan City Hall staff. This aims to get acquainted with the issues concerning the population of the capital and to respond quickly to the raised questions. The schedule includes receptions on different days and times, according to the heads of departments.

The draft of this decision refers to providing a land plot of 360.0 sq.m. in the area adjacent to Abovyan Park in Yerevan to the "Hrant Matevosyan" Cultural-Charitable Foundation with the right of gratuitous ownership. The land plot is intended exclusively for the construction of Hrant Matevosyan's house-museum. The project aims to perpetuate Hrant Matevosyan's memory and present his cultural heritage to the public.

Yerevan City Hall, in cooperation with Best Western Congress Hotel and Austrian Airlines, is organizing the "Yerevan Business Run - 2012" marathon race. The goal of the program is to raise awareness of corporate companies about existing problems in public life and to involve them in solving these problems. Companies from the business sector, particularly those implementing social corporate responsibility (SCR) policies, as well as other interested organizations, will participate in the marathon race.
