Clarification: regarding the disruption of the regularity of operation of route 5

Statement: regarding the disruption of the regularity of operation of bus route 5. In response to information circulating in some media outlets about organizing "sabotage", Yerevan City Hall clarifies that inter-regional and intra-regional regular transportation routes are coordinated with the Mayor of Yerevan. The minibuses of route 203 of the "Etchmiadzin-Yerevan-Etchmiadzin" route continue passenger transportation from the designated final stop at the Central Bus Station, reaching the "Yeritasardakan" metro station and Abovyan Park. This has disrupted the normal operation of Yerevan's intra-city routes, including bus route 5. Work is underway to resolve the issue.

Traffic change in the capital

Due to the final stage of construction work on the Davtashen highway, changes are being made to the traffic organization at the intersection of G. Chausi-Melkumov streets towards Ashtarak highway. Henceforth, traffic will be carried under the overpass of the newly built road section, and from Ashtarak to Yerevan - via the old descent.

Due to the company's refusal to service route H.62, the operation of that route will be suspended from September 1 of this year. In order to ensure transport services for the residents of Tbilisi highway and Kanaker district, route H.21 will be extended to Kanaker 13th street. Other passengers can use other routes.

Yerevan City Hall has developed and installed a software application that allows citizens to receive information on real estate taxes and liabilities subject to payment. The data included in the program is updated based on the data provided by the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia, and the amount of liabilities is updated daily.

The section of A. Avetisyan Street from Vagharshyan Street to Gulbenkian Street will be closed on August 21, 2018, from 12:00 to 24:00, due to asphalt paving works. Yerevan City Hall apologizes for the inconvenience caused.

To complete the improvement works of the tunnel section of the Mashtots Avenue-Gr. Lusavorich transport hub, traffic will be suspended for two days from August 7 in the direction of Mashtots Avenue-Victory Bridge. Traffic management changes will be made in the underground and overground sections of the hub. Detour routes are suggested to avoid traffic jams during construction works.

On August 4, at 18:00, the 4th “Yerevan TARAZfest” festival will be held on Northern Avenue within the framework of the “Yerevan Summer 2018” program. The festival will consist of two parts: an exhibition-fair and a presentation of collections by designers. Everyone is invited to participate.

From July 4, traffic will be suspended for one month from Victory Bridge to Mashtots Avenue, in order to carry out improvement works in the tunnel section of the Mashtots Avenue-Gr. Lusavorich transport hub. Two-way traffic will be organized from Mashtots Avenue to Victory Bridge, and traffic from Victory Bridge to Mashtots Avenue will be suspended. It is recommended to use bypass roads.

In accordance with the regulations of the Council of Elders of the City of Yerevan, the 5th sitting of the 3rd session of the Council of Elders of the City of Yerevan will convene on June 26, 2018, at 11:00. The agenda of the sitting includes 8 issues.

On June 22, at 22:00, the 5th «Fresco» International Festival of Contemporary Art and Spiritual Films will start near Yerevan Swan Lake. On June 21, at 19:00, the final concert of the 11th "Yerevan Sounds" music and art schools festival will take place in Yerevan's Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. During the event, the results of the competition-festival will be summarized, and the best performers will be awarded certificates. The "Yerevan Sounds" festival has been held since 2007 and is included in the City Hall's "Yerevan Summer" program.

On June 9, from 06:00 to 20:00, the section of Saralanj bypass road from Armenakyan street to Glinka street will be temporarily closed due to asphalting works.

The 4th festival of Armenian cuisine "Hamov-hotov Yerevan" will be held on June 10, 2018, from 17:00 to 21:00, in the park next to the "Republic Square" metro station. The festival is organized by Yerevan City Hall and the NGO "Preservation of Armenian Culinary Traditions Development" within the framework of the "Yerevan Summer 2018" program. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste traditional Armenian dishes presented by various restaurants and 13 pavilions.

On June 2, at 11:00, the seasonal agricultural products fair will reopen in the area adjacent to Kasyan Street in the Arabkir administrative district. Farmers from the regions of the Republic of Armenia will be able to sell their products at the fair. The program is implemented in cooperation with Yerevan City Hall and the RA Ministry of Agriculture.

Citizens are informed that from June 2, 2018, bus route number 12 will be serviced with a changed route: Halabyan Street – Yeghvard Highway – Pirumyan Street – Tigran Petrosyan Street – Zovuni village. The return will be on the same route. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

On June 2, from 13:00 to 15:30, the road section from the bridge near the "Princess Marianna" restaurant in Hrazdan Gorge to Papazyan street will be closed for traffic for the purpose of holding a cycling race organized by the EU delegation within the framework of the "Europe Day-2018" events.

On May 25, at 17:00, an exhibition of Russian painter Alexei Khvostov dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan's foundation will open at the "Hay-Art" Cultural Center. The exhibition will run until May 30.
